HIGH-LEVEL brings together researchers, industry, policymakers, institutions and regional stakeholders through a series of thematic European events focused on the practical challenges of coal-region transition.

The HIGH-LEVEL series begins in Germany

The first event will take place in Bochum and will connect European research, policy and regional experience around the future of coal regions.

Clean energy, restored lands: the path forward for coal regions

This two-day event will bring together researchers, policymakers, industry representatives and regional practitioners to discuss how research, policy and implementation can support an accelerated and just transition in European coal regions.
