EURACOAL is committed to making the HIGH-LEVEL website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology, ability or individual circumstances.

Accessibility is considered in the design, preparation, publication and maintenance of website content and project resources.

This statement applies to content published on the HIGH-LEVEL website:

It covers the main public pages, project information, event pages, partner information, news, downloadable resources and the contact form managed through this website.

External websites and services linked from HIGH-LEVEL, including European Commission registration platforms and third-party document services, are governed by their own accessibility statements and technical arrangements.

3. Accessibility standards

The HIGH-LEVEL website aims to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1, at level AA.

The website also takes account of the accessibility requirements reflected in the European standard EN 301 549 for websites and digital services.

Information should be available in forms that users can perceive, including appropriate text alternatives and readable content.

Operable

Navigation and interactive components should be usable with a keyboard and other input technologies.

Understandable

4. Compliance status

Formal assessment pending

The HIGH-LEVEL website has not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit.

It is therefore not currently claimed to be fully compliant with every WCAG 2.1 level AA success criterion.

The website has been designed with accessibility principles in mind and is being reviewed progressively as pages, documents and interactive functions are added.

Identified problems will be prioritised and corrected where technically and reasonably possible.

5. Accessibility features

The website includes or seeks to maintain the following accessibility features:

  • clear page titles and a consistent navigation structure;
  • semantic headings organised in a logical hierarchy;
  • readable text with sufficient spacing between paragraphs and sections;
  • colour combinations designed to provide adequate visual contrast;

6. Known limitations

Despite the measures adopted, some content may not yet be fully accessible.

Potential limitations include:

  • older PDF, Word, PowerPoint or spreadsheet documents that may not contain complete document structure, tags or text alternatives;
  • diagrams, charts or technical illustrations that may require more detailed textual descriptions;
  • content supplied by project partners in formats that have not yet been fully remediated;
  • third-party forms, embedded services or externally hosted registration platforms outside EURACOAL’s direct technical control;
  • occasional heading, focus or keyboard issues introduced by WordPress themes, plugins or subsequent software updates;
  • complex technical tables that may require horizontal scrolling on small screens;
  • video or audiovisual content that may not yet include complete captions, transcripts or audio descriptions.

This list will be updated when specific accessibility barriers are identified or corrected.

7. Documents and multimedia

HIGH-LEVEL may publish reports, presentations, agendas, project resources and other downloadable files prepared by different project beneficiaries.

New documents should, where reasonably possible:

  • use correctly structured headings;
  • include meaningful document titles;
  • use readable fonts and adequate contrast;
  • define table headers correctly;
  • include alternative text for informative images;
  • avoid using colour as the only means of conveying information;
  • preserve selectable and searchable text;
  • identify the document language.

Where a published document is not accessible, visitors may request the information in a more accessible alternative format.

8. Technical information

The accessibility of the HIGH-LEVEL website relies on the following web technologies:

  • WordPress and compatible browser technologies;
  • WAI-ARIA attributes where required for interactive components.
